How ScoreStory compares with other tools
Weighing ScoreStory against a tool you already know? For each alternative you can read what that product does well, where ScoreStory works differently, and when you are better off staying where you are.

Start with the core difference
ScoreStory is not a questionnaire with a chat window. It asks for one score and then holds a conversation about the reasons behind it. Start with what that difference means, whichever brand you are looking at.
Instead of a general survey tool
You use a survey tool for everything from customer satisfaction to a sign-up form. Those tools are broad. ScoreStory does one thing: a score, followed by a conversation about the reason for it.
- ScoreStory vs SurveyMonkey A broad survey tool for any questionnaire, or one score with a conversation behind it.
- ScoreStory vs Typeform Forms with one question per screen, or one score with a full conversation behind it.
- ScoreStory vs Google Forms A quick form or quiz, or a score with a conversation and an analysis behind it.
- ScoreStory vs Microsoft Forms A quick poll inside Microsoft 365, or a score with a conversation and an analysis behind it.
Instead of an employee survey platform
You measure engagement or eNPS with an engagement platform, often with a fixed model, benchmarks and reporting for managers. ScoreStory is smaller in scope: an anonymous eNPS survey in which employees explain what lies behind their score.
Instead of customer feedback or CX software
You collect feedback on customer journeys, your website or your app. ScoreStory concentrates on the conversation after an NPS, CSAT or CES score, not on a full CX programme spanning dozens of channels.
Who ScoreStory is for, and who it isn't for
A good fit if you
- measure NPS, eNPS, CSAT or Customer Effort Score and want to know what lies behind it;
- want open answers already sorted into themes and sentiment, with the quotes behind them;
- want to run research yourself, without an agency, and would rather pay per participant than per user;
- run employee surveys in which anonymity is built into the system itself;
- want your research data stored in the Netherlands, on infrastructure we run ourselves.
Not the best fit if you
- need a questionnaire with many questions, question types and logic, or a form, quiz or registration;
- are looking for a validated engagement model with benchmarks against other organisations, or performance and 360-degree reviews;
- need ready-made integrations with your CRM or HR system. ScoreStory has an API and CSV import, but no connectors you simply switch on;
- cannot have conversation text processed outside the EEA. The language model currently runs at Anthropic in the United States.
How we compare
- Everything we say about another product comes from that vendor's own website, help centre or documentation. The sources are listed at the bottom of every comparison.
- We checked everything in October 2026. Prices and features change quickly, so we would rather describe how a price is built up than quote a figure that is different next month.
- Every comparison also says when the other product is the better choice, because for someone it nearly always is.
- What we could not verify, we either leave out or mark as not publicly documented.
