ScoreStory or Typeform: which suits your feedback?
Typeform builds forms and surveys that show one question at a time and are pleasant to fill in, with lots of question types and, more recently, AI that follows up. ScoreStory is built entirely around one score and the conversation after it. Here is how they differ.

What each one is for
Typeform
Typeform, based in Barcelona, builds forms and surveys that show one question at a time. You choose from many question types, from multiple choice to payments and signatures, with logic, calculations and quizzes. Typeform is used for lead generation, registrations and research, and has AI to build forms, translate them and summarise the answers.
ScoreStory
ScoreStory asks one question, an NPS, eNPS, CSAT or CES score, and then holds a conversation about the answer. Vox, the AI interviewer, asks for reasons and examples, in the participant's own language. The answers are sorted into themes and sentiment automatically, with a short conclusion and the quotes behind it.
ScoreStory and Typeform side by side
| Aspect | ScoreStory | Typeform |
|---|---|---|
| What it is for | One score (NPS, eNPS, CSAT or CES) and a conversation about the reason behind it. | Forms and surveys, from lead generation and registrations to customer feedback. |
| Question types and logic | Partly. One score question, participant attributes and one closing question of your own. No question logic. | Yes. Many question types, including payment, signature and scheduling, with branching, calculations and outcome quizzes. |
| NPS, CSAT and CES | Yes. All four as metrics, with the score and its trend in your results. | Partly. An NPS question type with the split into promoters, passives and detractors, and templates for CES and customer satisfaction. No separate eNPS type. |
| Follow-up on the answer | Yes. The whole survey is a conversation: the AI interviewer follows up with every participant for reasons and examples. | Yes. Clarify with AI asks up to 2 follow-up questions on an open answer, on the Talent, Growth and Enterprise plans. |
| Analysis of open answers | Yes. Themes, sentiment, a short conclusion, and questions you can ask about your results. | Yes. Smart Insights: a summary, topics and sentiment, on the higher plans and for forms in English. |
| Spoken answers | Yes. Participants type or speak their answer; speech is converted to text. | Yes. Video and audio answers of up to 2 minutes, with transcripts, on the Growth and Talent plans. |
| Languages | Yes. Interviews in 8 languages. The interviewer talks in the participant's language, without you translating anything. | Yes. Multi-language forms in 27 languages, with AI translation, from the Business plan up. |
| Anonymity | Yes. An anonymous mode: no names stored with the conversations, the link to the invitation deleted, and no results for groups under 5. | Partly. No dedicated anonymity setting. Typeform says a form is anonymous as long as you don't ask for identifying details. |
| Inviting people | Yes. Personal and public links, QR code, website pop-up, mailings from your own domain, import and API. | Yes. Link, QR code, email and six ways to embed on your website. More than 100 integrations. |
| Where the data is | Partly. Application and stored data in the Netherlands. The language model runs at Anthropic in the US. | Partly. On AWS. The choice between a US and an EU data centre comes with the Enterprise plan. |
| Certifications | No. No ISO 27001 or SOC 2. | Yes. Including SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001 and ISO 42001. |
| Price | Per participant per month. Your first 10 interviews are free. | Per plan, with a set number of users and responses a month. Free up to 10 responses a month. |
Where your data is
Typeform runs on AWS. According to its pricing page, choosing between a US and an EU data centre comes with the Enterprise plan; on an EU account, responses are stored and processed in the EU. Its sub-processor list names parties in the US for the AI features. Typeform holds certifications including SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001 and ISO 42001, and as a Spanish company offers a data processing agreement under Spanish law.
ScoreStory runs on its own infrastructure at Leaseweb in the Netherlands, on every plan. The language model that holds and analyses the conversation is Anthropic's, in the US, so the conversation text leaves the EEA for that step, under the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. ScoreStory does not hold an ISO 27001 or SOC 2 certification. See our privacy page.
What it costs
Typeform sells plans with a set number of users and responses a month. On 22 October 2026 we saw, in euros, billed annually: Basic at €25 a month (1 user, 100 responses), Plus at €49 (3 users, 1,000 responses) and Business at €84 (5 users, 10,000 responses). Paying monthly costs more. The free plan takes up to 10 responses a month. Clarify with AI and video and audio answers come with the higher plans. Prices may vary by country.
ScoreStory charges per participant: Essential costs €50 a month excl. VAT for 10 participants a month, Plus €125 for 50 and Pro €475 for 250, with up to 5 users included. The interview and the analysis are part of every plan, the free one included. Your first 10 interviews are free. See pricing.
When to choose which
Typeform is the better choice if you
- build forms for leads, registrations, orders or payments;
- need a questionnaire with many question types, logic or a quiz;
- want to collect lots of responses at a low cost per response;
- need forms in more than eight languages;
- want to connect your forms to your CRM, Google Sheets or Slack;
- require an ISO 27001 or SOC 2 certificate from your suppliers.
ScoreStory is the better fit if you
- measure a score and want to hear what lies behind it from every participant;
- want a whole conversation rather than one or two follow-up questions;
- want open answers analysed in Dutch too, not only in English;
- want an anonymous employee survey with anonymity built into the system itself;
- want your research data stored in the Netherlands, without an Enterprise plan.
Switching, or using both
If you use Typeform for forms and registrations, keep it for those. What you move to ScoreStory is the recurring measurement: the NPS after a purchase, the CSAT after a support contact, or the eNPS among your employees.
How to start
- Choose the metric and keep the same question wording, so your score stays comparable.
- Replace the embedded Typeform on your website with ScoreStory's website pop-up, or share a public link or QR code.
- Import your contacts as a CSV or Excel file, or create invitations through the API.
- Export your old Typeform responses as CSV or Excel and keep them for comparison. ScoreStory doesn't import them.

Frequently asked questions
Typeform now follows up with AI too. So what is the difference?
Typeform's Clarify with AI asks up to two follow-up questions on an open answer within a form. The form itself remains the basis. In ScoreStory the conversation is the survey: after the score, everyone gets an interview that adapts to what they say, within the goal and themes you set. ScoreStory then sorts the answers into themes and sentiment.
Can I rebuild a Typeform survey in ScoreStory?
If it revolves around one score, such as NPS or CSAT, yes. A form with payments, a quiz or a long questionnaire with logic can't be rebuilt in ScoreStory. Typeform is the better choice for those.
Which has the better free plan?
It depends on what you want to try. Typeform is free up to 10 responses a month. With ScoreStory your first 10 interviews are free, with no end date and every feature, the analysis included.
